I'm an independent artist offering paintings on sale from stock and to commission. I trained at the Central School of Art in London back in the 1960's and have never stopped loving paint, colour and the feeling of brush or palette knife on canvas. I keep my prices low, the quality high. I want my original oil paintings and the prints of my watercolours and gouaches on high-quality paper to be enjoyed by everyone who has a little spare cash for luxuries in these austere times - so go ahead and browse ... If you want to know the price of an item you like, or if you'd like to commission a picture, do contact me to discuss it.
And Another Thing - my other pleasure is writing. On this page you'll find my theatre reviews, notes, diary entries and poems, some drafts and some finished. Please feel free to comment ... as kindly as you can! In 2015-7 I've been painting abstract compositions, experimenting with colour, symmetry, structure and form. Below is a painting inspired by Dylan Thomas' poem Love in the Asylum. Janice Dempsey
